Create an Intentions Board to Accomplish Goals

Aspirations and good intentions are vital to anyone’s future. They are also important in maintaining positive energy in your personal environment. Now that we have almost completed the first 60 days of the year 2007 are your New Year’s Resolutions well underway or all but a memory? Do you remember all your enthusiasm and anticipation filled with the great hope of changing your life for the better and accomplishing your goals and dreams for the New Year?

You may have had a very clear list of things you wanted to accomplish in 2007. So clear in fact you knew exactly where you were going to focus your energy, time and money in the New Year. Is that where you are today? If not, why not?

Create an Intentions Board

Whether you are working on your New Year’s Resolutions, trying to re-vitalize your well intentioned resolutions or beginning a whole new set of goals and objectives is less important than energizing them once you’ve committed yourself to doing them. For many, energizing your intentions is the missing link that connects your intentions to successful completion.

To energize your good intentions, use a positive energy Feng Shui tool known as an Intentions Board. It will help you bridge the gap between your good intentions like New Year’s resolutions and successful results. An Intentions Board is like a bulletin board or presentation board with a surface where you can use push pins to attach pictures and messages.

Once you have decided what you will use to create your Intentions Board you need to make sure it is a dedicated surface used only to support your intentions, your goals and your dreams. The best location to display your Intentions Board is either in your bedroom if you wish it to be private or near the door of your home that you regularly use. It needs to be located in an area you see it several times every day. It would serve you even better if you can place it on an east wall to further encourage positive new energy to enter your life.

Energize Your Intentions

Now that you have already created a new energy path into your life by successfully creating your Intentions Board it is time to energize your intentions, resolutions and goals. For each intention or goal you would like to successfully accomplish this year find something symbolic that represents your desire and place it on your board. For example, if you want to lose weight you can place a picture of an outfit you cut out of a magazine that you would like to wear when you reach your ideal weight goal. You could also put just the number representing your ideal weight or clothing size. If you would like to improve your health put a picture of a sumptuous meal filled with only healthy fresh food.

Perhaps your goals have nothing to do with health or weight but rather relationships. If that is the case look for things that symbolize a great relationship with a new significant other such as a couple walking hand in hand on a sun drenched beach, sitting poolside on a cruise ship or in front of a huge fireplace at a ski lodge. Maybe your relationship goals are with adult children that live far away. You can draw a simple stick figure picture of two houses far apart connected to each other by a clothesline filled with dozens of hearts in various sizes and shapes. Perhaps your relationship is one of a more spiritual nature and you are looking within, searching for a connection to the heavens and the universe. A picture of a single candle burning brightly will serve you well in energizing that type of goal.

It is not difficult to use your Intentions Board. You can put as many symbols and pictures on it as you feel are necessary to help you shift stagnant energy to positive success oriented energy. If losing weight is one of your goals, perhaps you need to do it in stages therefore you may wish to energize each stage. The same thought process can be applied to any goal that require time and staging.

Intentions are just intentions until you energize them and act upon them. The best intentions and goals in the world if not acted upon become stagnant wasted energy. Create your Intentions Board today and start with the three most important things you’d like to achieve this year. Fill that board with symbols that represent and energize the successful accomplishment of your intentions. It is ideal to focus on a carefully selected limited number of goals in the beginning and reassess and replace energy symbols as your intentions become accomplishments.

An Intentions Board with appropriate goal oriented symbols creates a positive energy flow that helps you bring your desires and intentions to a joy filled successful completion.
