Have you ever felt, “if I only had just a few more dollars I’d be happier’? Or, “I wish I could stretch my income further so I wouldn’t feel so broke at the end of each month”. Even people who appear to have ample money sometimes wish they had an abundance of it so they can contribute to some of the much sought after funding for people in need. Somehow, no matter whom you are or how prosperous you are, there is always room for more income and cash flow.
Does Feng Shui play a role even in the arena of prosperity and income generation? Can Feng Shui make a difference? The answer is a qualified yes. Remember, Feng Shui is the use of positive energy to bring about desired results. You cannot expect a positive shift in energy to create money for you unless you align your mind and actions to that shift so you are consistent and in harmony with your objective of increasing your income. In other words, you cannot expect to be a couch potato, stay at home and still earn additional income. But, if you are already gainfully employed, whether an hourly or salaried employee or self-employed, you can definitely enhance the energy flow in the areas of your home and office that are crucial to the positive flow of income in your life.
In the case of generating new or additional income, it is critical that there is no clutter in your home that is standing in your way. Generally speaking, clutter throughout the house will inhibit the energizing of additional income flow. However, there are three specific areas that you need to concentrate on; the southeast area of your bedroom and living room, the northwest area of your living room and the east area of your bedroom and living room. You need to apply the same clutter clearing process to your office or desk whether you work outside of the house or have an office at home. If there is stagnant energy because of collecting clutter in your house, there is no room for new fresh energy to help you create that much needed or desired income. Lots of stagnant energy is very difficult to overcome but extremely easy to get rid of. Just be merciless and toss it out.
Now, energize the areas noted above. In the southeast areas of your bedroom, living room and office or desk, place a very healthy wonderful green plant that reaches upward. Care for this plant well as it represents income growth, wealth and abundance. You can use a jade plant which has leaves shaped a little like money (coins) otherwise use a tall plant that grows profusely and reaches upward. Be sure that your plant is always healthy. The moment it looks ill remove and replace it. If you absolutely do not have a green thumb, use an abundant, rich green colored silk or permanent plant.
Next, in the northwest area of your living room and office or desk place something silver that is sizeable, perhaps even a little dramatic. It can be a statue, a vase or a series of pictures framed in silver. If you choose to use pictures be sure the pictures are of people that have helped you, a teamwork type poster or even a picture of someone like Lance Armstrong and his bicycling team. The picture should represent helpful people. When you want to improve your income you usually need all the help you can get. The northwest area of your home and office represents helpful people so you want to make sure the energy is properly flowing in this area to bring you all the helpful people you need. Silver is the ideal representative of such help and silver is also a metal that represent money.
The third area you need to energize is the east. East provides the energy for giving birth to new ideas, new things and a new way of life. It is energized through the use of wood. A magnificent picture of redwood trees or ancient oriental pine trees show great growth and longevity and would be a perfect enhancement in the east area of your bedroom, living room and office. Something actually made out of wood, is green or tall and rectangular would also work well for this area. Let your creative juices flow. I’m sure you will find something in your home that will be perfect. A tall wooden grandfather’s clock would be great or a mostly wooden curio cabinet. The energy enhancer for the east needs to help you to give birth to your new life and increased income. Whatever you choose needs to be something you love and is a good representation of wood.
Prosperity comes in many forms but in this case, income is at the top of your list. Unclutter your life and especially the wealth areas of your home and office. Remember my simple rule for un-cluttering, “if you don’t love it, it doesn’t look great on you or you haven’t used it for two years, get rid of it”. You cannot increase positive energy when that space is already occupied with stagnant energy. Once you have removed the clutter, enhance the appropriate areas with abundant green plants, beautiful silver (yes, pewter or platinum also work) and wood. Keep in mind that when you do a major energizing, especially in significant areas such as these, it takes anywhere from six weeks to three months for the energy to completely shift. Positive change can and will happen.
