Use In-between Times to Create Good Fortune and Prosperity

Are you living “in-between times?” Are you living in a gap and not sure whether you should look back or move forward? For example, are you in-between jobs, in-between relationships, in-between major holidays when nothing gets done in the workplace or in-between the ending of the old year and the beginning of the new year?

This is the perfect time for you to commit to using Feng Shui to help you create good fortune and prosperity in your future. Prepare your home for prosperity before the new season arrives. While many families are experiencing stress over monetary issues and worrying about the busy (and often expensive) holiday season ahead, they could be streamlining and organizing their home to create a more prosperous environment where good fortune abounds.

Good Luck and Prosperity Begin at Home

But why start at home when money tends to be made in the workplace? According to the principles of Feng Shui, prosperity, income growth and good fortune actually begin at home. It doesn’t matter whether your prosperity comes from investments or an office, workstation, cubicle or a corner of the spare bedroom; prosperity and good luck start exactly where you start your day – in your own home.

According to Feng Shui principles, you receive what you focus your internal and external energy on. If you are focusing on “there’s never enough money,” then you are focusing on not having enough money – and that is exactly what you receive. If you are not lucky at work or in your relationships, look around your home to see where the energy is blocked and create positive thoughts and energy to attract more income, a better job or much needed good luck. Whatever you have energized mentally and physically in the past three to five years is what you have today. What you focus on today is what you will have in the future.

Create Prosperity Thoughts

Your words and thoughts are what create your future. Every positive thought, wish or whim has the potential to move you toward prosperity; or if the thoughts are negative, they will keep you exactly where you are. First, you need to put an end to the negative thinking – tell yourself “no.” Anytime a negative thought pops into your head, just say “no negative thoughts allowed,” and send the thought away or “delete it” from your thought process. Do whatever it takes to get rid of negative thinking to make room for prosperity and good luck thinking.

Then make a list of all the positive thoughts you can use to create more prosperity. If you are hoping for a raise your thought might be “my new raise really helps.” If you live on a fixed income your thought could be “my new financial advisor is helping evaluate my funds so they can be well positioned for when the market turns upward.” If you are hoping to find a new relationship your thought might be “I love the new networking group I joined which provides me relationship opportunities.” If you are hoping for good luck, don’t think “I never win anything,” instead focus on noticing and being grateful for all the little things that do go well for you. That thought process feeds good luck energy.

Create a number of variations of your prosperity thoughts so you can use them as positive reinforcement whenever self-sabotaging negative thoughts try to sneak in. Write them on slips of paper and put them everywhere if necessary to help you shift your thinking process.

Energize Prosperity and Good Fortune in Your Home

Once you have shifted to positive prosperity thinking, it is time to shift the physical energy in your house to bring it into alignment with your intentions. Be sure to unclutter first the following five areas of your home – otherwise you will energize the clutter not the desired prosperity and good fortune.

Career: energize the north area of your living/family room with a water element. You can use a tabletop or wall-hung water fountain, a picture of a gently flowing stream or a fish tank filled with seven gold fish and one black fish. If the black fish dies or any of the fish do not look healthy, replace them immediately.

Income/Wealth: energize the southeast area of your living/family room with something wooden, green or a healthy upward reaching plant or small tree. If you do not have a green thumb, use good quality silk plants and trees – nothing dried as it is dried dead energy. Each symbolizes the wood element, which represents new growth, the beginning of new things and income, wealth and prosperity. This would also be a good area to put a wooden money pot with seven coins to further energize your prosperity -U.S. gold or silver dollar coins work great.

Relationships: energize the southwest area of your living/family room with the earth element using such things as terra cotta pots or a vase filled with multiple colors and shapes of silk flowers, each representing a potential relationship that will help you with your prosperity intentions. You can also use a collection of your favorite things to energize your many old and new relationships. Relationships are key to helping you create abundance and keep it.

Helpful People: energize the northwest area of your living/family room with the metal element using silver. You can use a poster of someone like Lance Armstrong and his Tour de France team or Michael Phelps and his Gold Medal swim team framed in silver. Or, a silver trophy you’ve received for excellence or a picture of a parent who was particularly helpful framed in silver. It’s teamwork and people that will help you create and find the prosperity you seek.

Good Luck and Good Fortune: energize good fortune and luck in the south area of your living room and your workplace with something from the fire element like a candle, the color red or even a great red vase that narrows as it shoots energy upward.

Be sure to energize your office, workstation, cubicle or desk using the same energy guidelines. Financial stability and prosperity are all about your intentions and creating the positive energy necessary to create the abundance you desire. Don’t just be a victim of your circumstances, get rid of the negative thinking, unclutter the Feng Shui areas most relevant to prosperity and good fortune and then energize them to support your intentions. Use your in-between times to create the future you want.
